object description
Shahzia Sikander is a New York-based artist whose work depicts themes of cultural, social, and political histories through techniques associated with traditional Indo-Persian miniature painting. Sikander's The Singing Spheres is composed of hundreds of small icons based on the hair style of female worshipers - known as gopi - of the Hindu god Krishna. Each hand-painted form is unique but becomes anonymous when subsumed by the movement and pattern of the group.
Artware Editions is an approved Maharam Digital Projects retailer and offers the complete line of artist-designed digital wall coverings. These mural-style installations are sized, priced and produced on a project-specific basis. They are scalable and repeatable.
There is a minimum purchase price of $4,900 for the first 100 square feet. The wallpaper has a matte laminate finish which can be cleaned using mild soap and warm water.
